In the last year I have grown, birthed, and cared for a little boy named Everett. Preparing for a baby is crazy enough, but not as awesomely insane as figuring out how to raise one. Needless to say, I have been a bit distracted.
What a wonderful distraction it has been.
There’s nothing like a 24/7 responsibility to get yourself to re-write your list of priorities. After 2 months of hanging out, Everett and I have found a rhythm. I’m told that won’t last long. But, while it does, I’m sorting out how to be a mother, an artist, and everything else at the same time.
One thing I would like to do is use this blog more often to sort out my thoughts and ideas about new and current projects. I’d also like to continue collecting and posting projects and things that inspire me to come back to when I need a little kick in the pants. I’d also like to use this space as a journal. Hopefully it will become a storage space for some of the random moments in my life I choose to record through writing and photography. Basically, if you want to get to know the girl behind the mask, she’s letting you in.
