Show me your stuff.

Ok. I need some help with a new art work I would like to create.  All I need is an image of your living room.

Here are details if you are interested:

1.  Take a photo of your living room at the highest quality your camera allows.  You can take it however you want.  The more of your living room you can fit into one image the better.

2.  Pick your favorite photo and send it to me at lauren (at) laurenusher.com

If you cannot send a digital image and still want to participate, email me.  I will send you my address so you can send me a paper print.

Art project #2

Hey there everyone!

I just thought of a new piece I would like to develop over the next few months. I need your help!

I only need you to send me two items.

1. Photograph of the outside of your living space (house, apartment, studio, condo, etc.).

2. Photograph of your living room.

If you could send these to me via email that would be awesome! If you prefer mail, just email me and I will give you my address.

Specifics for the photographs: At the very least 72ppi, with the shortest pixel length of 1000. Can be tiff or jpeg

Art Project #1

So, I am finishing up my current project and would like to begin another. Here is the deal for this new idea of mine.

The title of this new project is “Significant Strangers.” I believe that every single person on this earth, both past and present, has had an effect on my life. That is a short explanation, but that’s the gist.

So, if you want to join in you will need to send me as many of the following items as you wish.

1. A photograph of yourself. Any photo will do.

2. A newspaper from the town you live in. I need the WHOLE newspaper.

3. Photograph of your house/home.

4. Photograph of the city/town you live in.

5. Postcard with your favorite “thing” written on the back.

I will also need you to send a signed model release form. I will email that to those who are interested.

This is a volunteer participation project. What that means is you will be doing this for free. There will be no money payment involved, but you should be happy that you have contributed to the art world, and therefore the entire world.

My intention is to get an exhibition out of this. No promises, as the art world is not an easy place to work. But, if I get enough volunteers, I do believe the work will be strong and people will want to see it. Of course I will keep the names and contact information of the participants and let them know when I do have a showing of this project.
